• Tournament Result - Y5/6 Sportshall Athletics Semi Finals

  Earlier this afternoon, our Y5/6 Sportshall Athletics team took part in the semi-finals of this event, held at Harvey Hadden Sports Village. 

   

  This time around, the opposition we faced was of a much higher calibre, with the original 32 schools (who entered at the heats stage) being whittled down to only 12 at this stage. 

   

  Whitemoor were not phased by this challenge however - competing with maximum effort and determination in all their events (covering sprinting, jumping and throwing). In the end, their hard work was rewarded as they finished in the top 3 thus qualified for the finals on Tuesday 18th December - same place, same time!

   

  Congratulations to all involved, especially as this was the first time Whitemoor's Y5/6 pupils had reached the finals in many a year!

• Competition Result - Y3/4 Key Step Gymnastics

  Earlier this evening, six children (from Year 4) travelled up to Ellis Guilford, ready to compete in the 'Key Step' gymnastics competition.

   

  The boys and girls who took part did so with smiles on their faces, and put maximum effort into their challenging routines.

   

  When the points were added together, the children discovered that they'd finished in third place - which earned them a brilliant bronze medal. What's more, this was the first medal that Whitemoor achieved this academic year. 

   

  All of Team Whitemoor performed superbly throughout the event and should be extremely proud of this, as well as their accomplishments (obviously!). Well done again children.

   

  Our Y3/4 Key Step Gymnasts were: Jahmar C, Austin O, Malak E, Makeda M, Alawrae K and Sophie A.

• Tournament Result - Y6 This Girl Can Festival

  Earlier today, ten very excited Year 6 children were whisked off to Harvey Hadden Sports Village, ready to take part in the first 'This Girl Can' Festival of the year. 

   

  The primary aim of today's event was to encourage girls to get active, and to be proud doing so. The pupils representing Whitemoor had opportunity to play a range of traditional and non-traditional sports over the course of the afternoon. 

   

  Well done to all the girls involved, who displayed an excellent sporting attitude at all times - a real credit to our school! 

   

  Our Y6 'This Girl Can' team was made up of: Italee P, Zakiah R, Keyanne H, Magda G, Elizabeth L, Tayah P, Alyssia B, Tayyaba K, Sana Q and Aimee K.
