At Whitemoor Academy, we encourage all our pupils and staff to ‘Be Our Best Selves’.

We do this by following a set of principles called: ‘The Whitemoor Way’.

These principles, written in conjunction with the pupils, underpin our collective desire to achieve the best we can, look after and show respect to every member of the Whitemoor community, and to grab every opportunity we can to shine.

The ‘Whitemoor Way’ is an integral part of our day-to-day communication and language and is used frequently to celebrate success and also re-address the behaviours we expect from all members of the Whitemoor community.

We recognise that everybody is different and that some people find some things trickier than others. However, we promote an ambitious curriculum that stretches learning at every level. We operate a proactive and adaptive teaching approach, anticipating the support that may be needed in order to access learning, whilst not putting a ceiling on what could be achieved by all.

Regardless of background, we believe that every child has the right to a high-quality education which is delivered by people who care.
