• Tournament Result – Monday 25th January – Yr 5/6 Dodgeball Heats

  Yesterday afternoon, our Y5/6 Dodgeball team took to the courts at Southglade Leisure Centred, ready to play nine games against other local schools. 

   

  The team did amazingly well and won every game, apart from one, which was lost by a single point (to last year's champions).

   

  Whitemoor finished second overall, making it through easily to the finals on Thursday 11th February. We are very proud of their efforts and amazing teamwork. Well done all!

   

  The Dodgeballers involved in today's event were: Savita A, Grace A, Thomas W, Oskar D, Lynden J, Ajay S, Daniel P and Declan M.

   

• Football Result – Saturday 23rd January – Boys Under 11 Kids Cup LOCAL FINALS

  As a result of finishing runners up in the 5-a-side tournament (back in November), we qualified for the npower Kids Cup Local Finals. This meant we played on the Meadow Lane pitch at half time, during Notts County vs AFC Wimbledon. 

   

  The eight minute match was a very close affair, but unfortunately the result was as follows:

• Tournament Result – Thursday 21st January – Y2 Infant Agility Festival

  Thursday's Y1/2 Infant Agility Festival saw young athletes from across the City take part in their first ever inter-school event.

   

  It was an amazing day, filled with lots of activities and endless fun. Our athletes worked so hard and cheered each other on from beginning to end.

   

  What made things even better was that Whitemoor came away with a gold medal!

   

  We are all so very proud of those who took part and we hope to see you all compete in more events in the future.

   

  The Y1/2 Infant Agility team consisted of: Alyssia N, Shay A, Ticianny M, Hamza A, Mckenzie P, Tyrai W, Glenisha B, Kuleni S, Mia M, Sheya M, Zenai CH, Abdullah T, Colman W, Deyton L, Harvey M, Martell E, Verrell H, Destiny T, Laiba A, Mya I, Alijah L, Areeb A, Blake R, Harley J, Kia W, Preston A, Reuben K and Katie A.

   

• Competition Result – Wednesday 13th January – Y5/6 Cross Country Championships

  Yesterday afternoon, eight of the best athletes from Whitemoor Academy competed at the Year 5/6 Cross Country event, held at Wollaton Park. 

   

  The competition consisted of different races, based on gender. First was the girls race, with our 4 girls running 1500m around the park. They ended up finishing in 4th place (out of 13 different schools).

   

  Next up were the boys, who ended up in 5th position (out of 14 schools). One of our boys even placed 17th, which is pretty impressive given 97 started the race!

   

  Congratulations to those who represented Whitemoor: Oskar D, Declan M, Vlad A, Lynden J, Beth K, Mia G, Mya H and Georgia N.
