  • Football Result – Friday 20th July – Boys Under 11 Vs Under 10 Game

    Fri 20 Jul 2018

For the fourth year in a row, we organised an end of season match between our Under 11s and Under 10s football teams. With our 'senior' team having claimed the intra-school trophy in 2016 and 2017, would it be the turn of our 'junior' team to get their hands on the silverware....?

The Under 11s squad consisted of: Kavan S, Aiden L, Maleeq F, Mason T, Jahkyi C, Elhaid M, Jacob H and Brian D.

Their opponents, the Under 10s team, were made up of: Mustafa K, Lewis C, Harley J, Tyrai W, Ruben K, Sam W, Shalom-Chris O and Travae R.

This year's game was a much closer affair compared with the previous two years - but ultimately the winning team remained the same, with the final score being:

    Whitemoor Academy Under 11s 3 – 1 Whitemoor Academy Under 10s

    Brian D                                                 Shalom-Chris O

    Jacob H

    Maleeq F

Man of the Match: Jacob H

Congratulations to our Under 11s team for retaining the trophy (in what was their final ever football match for Whitemoor).

  • Whitemoor Achieve School Games Gold Once More!

    Wed 04 Jul 2018

The School Games Mark is an award scheme which was launched nearly six years ago. It looks to reward schools for their commitment to the development of sporting competition. This year's criteria was more demanding than ever before - with a focus on inter-school competitions; intra-school competitions and 'Personal Best' competitions.

Schools apply annually through an online application form, which is validated by their local School Games Organiser (SGO). The application is then graded at either bronze, silver, or gold level...

We are very pleased to announce that we have, for the fourth time, been awarded the Gold Mark! This is an amazing achievement - helping evidence the impact Whitemoor's wide ranging PE and Sport provision has on all pupils.

It was also pleasing to see Nick Robb, Nottingham City SGO, leave the following comment after approving our application: 'A well deserved Gold once again!'

Now we are only two more (consecutive) Gold School Games Marks away from reaching the extremely rare platinum level.
