• Tournament Result – Thursday 29th September – Y5/6 Quicksticks Hockey

  Yesterday afternoon, our Y5/6 Hockey team ventured over to the pitches at Highfields Hockey Centre for one of the first tournaments of the year. In all, sixteen teams took part in some forty-eight Quicksticks games. 

   

  All the schools which took part showed terrific skill, and it was clear from the outset the standard of hockey had improved greatly compared with last year. Added to this, Whitemoor found themselves in a very tough group.  

   

  By the end of the group games, our players worked out that they'd only managed to finish fourth, so narrowly missed out the play-offs rounds. In spite of this, the team had a great time and were pleased to be given such an experience. We know there will be successes further down the line!  

   

  Our Y5/6 Hockey team consisted of: Alfie G, Castel B, Sylvester F, Amirah A, Megan M and Natasha C.

• Tournament Result – Tuesday 20th September – Y5/6 High 5 Netball C.V.L Heats

  What another fantastic start to the year we've had on the netball courts! Last night our Y5/6 team went over to Fernwood Secondary School to play in in one of two Central Venue Leagues.

   

  Through hard work, determination and a positive mental attitude; Whitemoor won 12-1 against Middleton! Lots of amazing plays were made as well as lots of goals being scored. With us playing so well, the only downside was that Middleton were the only school for us to compete against…

   

  We are proud of the teams efforts so far, and know this is only the start of something really magical. Bring on the Central Venue League Finals in October!

   

  The Y5/6 Netball team consisted of: Megan M, Shania B, Ciara H, Peyten C, Mason N, Harvinder D and Tino C.
