Yesterday afternoon, our Y5/6 Hockey team ventured over to the pitches at Highfields Hockey Centre for one of the first tournaments of the year. In all, sixteen teams took part in some forty-eight Quicksticks games. 

 

All the schools which took part showed terrific skill, and it was clear from the outset the standard of hockey had improved greatly compared with last year. Added to this, Whitemoor found themselves in a very tough group.  

 

By the end of the group games, our players worked out that they'd only managed to finish fourth, so narrowly missed out the play-offs rounds. In spite of this, the team had a great time and were pleased to be given such an experience. We know there will be successes further down the line!  

 

Our Y5/6 Hockey team consisted of: Alfie G, Castel B, Sylvester F, Amirah A, Megan M and Natasha C.
