Yesterday afternoon, eight of the best athletes from Whitemoor Academy competed at the Year 5/6 Cross Country event, held at Wollaton Park. 

 

The competition consisted of different races, based on gender. First was the girls race, with our 4 girls running 1500m around the park. They ended up finishing in 4th place (out of 13 different schools).

 

Next up were the boys, who ended up in 5th position (out of 14 schools). One of our boys even placed 17th, which is pretty impressive given 97 started the race!
