Tournament Result - Y5/6 Sportshall Athletics Semi Finals
Tue 26 Nov 2019Earlier this afternoon, Whitemoor competed in the semi-finals of the Y5/6 Sportshall Athletics event, held (once again) at Harvey Hadden Sports Village.
The opposition we faced this time around was of a much higher standard - with the original 45 or so schools who entered their respective heats being whittled down to just 13 schools.
Team Whitemoor dealt magnificently with this increased challenge it must be said - displaying true grit and determination in all the different events (covering sprinting, jumping and throwing). In the end, our boys and girls hard work was rewarded, with Whitemoor finishing in 2nd place, thus qualifying for the next round.
Finger crossed that we can finish in the same position (or better!) come the finals in a few weeks time...
Today's Y5/6 Sportshall Athletics team consisted of: Lucas S, Jordan N, Harley J, Zak P, Ryan B, Martell E, Riley D, Jahmar C, Tyrai E, Kiyan A, Ticianny M, Minky D, Alawrae K, Makeda M, Sienna H, Alyssia N, Kuleni S, Glennisha B, Doha A and Katie A.

Tournament Result - Y5/6 Basketball Heats
Fri 22 Nov 2019After failing to take part in last year's Basketball Tournament, due to a clash of dates, Whitemoor travelled over to Lee Westwood Sports Centre determined to make it through today's heat.
As was the case at the Central Venue League Basketball events back in May, our girls took to the court first, followed by the boys in the second period. The scores from each half were then added together to determine which school had won the game.
Both the girls and boys teams played some impressive basketball over the course of the afternoon - recording a series of wins along the way.
Unfortunately, they didn't record enough wins to finish within the top three schools - missing out on a place in the finals by a single point!
Our Y5/6 Basketball team consisted of: Samya F, Tyrai E, Kiyan A, Ruben K, Zenai C, Sam W, Ticianny M, Lewis C, Katie A, Harley J, Sienna H, Alyssia N and Minky D.

Tournament Result - Y6 This Girl Can Festival
Tue 05 Nov 2019Earlier this afternoon, a group of lucky Y6 girls travelled over to Harvey Hadden Sports Village, ready to take part in the 2019/20 version of the 'This Girl Can' Festivals.
This was the fifth year in a row that Whitemoor have brought a team to this event - with our current set of Y6 girls being as excited as ever to play lots of sports against schools from across Nottingham.
Not only did the girls have a fantastic time experiencing these new and different sports; they also demonstrated great teamwork skills throughout their games – making the adults present incredibly proud.
Today's 'This Girl Can' Festival team consisted of: Doha A, Zaynab S, Laiba A, Sachina S, Sidrah R, Hamnah S and Sadaf H.
