Tournament Result - Y5/6 Quicksticks Hockey
Thu 26 Sep 2019Earlier this afternoon, our Y5/6 Hockey team travelled over to Highfields Hockey Centre, ready for the first competitive sports event of 2019-20.
All of the many schools involved in today's tournament were of a good standard; therefore it was clear that if Whitemoor were to repeat their gold medal successes of 2015 and 2017, a superhuman effort would be required...
Unfortunately; after a mixture of wins, draws and losses in the group stage; Team Whitemoor discovered that their points total meant they'd narrowly missed out on a place in the play-offs.
However, our players should be proud of themselves for playing some great hockey over the course of the afternoon, and never getting upset when results didn't go their way. We're sure that medal success will come soon!
Our Y5/6 Hockey team consisted of: Sam W, Tyrai E, Harley J, Subhan H, Ticianny M, Alyssia N and Sienna H.

Tournament Result - Y6 Mega Festival
Tue 24 Sep 2019Yesterday afternoon, some lucky boys and girls got to take part in the first School Sport Nottingham event of the year - the Y6 Mega Festival.
As soon as the children arrived at Harvey Hadden Sports Village, they took part in a mass warm-up. Following this, they competed in a series of activities and sports, pitted against schools from across the City.
Team Whitemoor played fantastically well in all these activities and sports (including: Relay Races, Handball, Unihoc and Kurling). What's more, they represented the school brilliantly, showing great enthusiasm and sportsmanship at all times.
Our Y6 Mega Festival team was made up of: Doha A, Destiny T, Mia M, Areeb A, Jad S and Mckenzie P.
