Due to the fact two schools dropped out on the day of the event, then a revised format was used to decide who the winners of the Y3/4 series of the University of Nottingham Futsal Tournaments would be.
This format was round-robin. Therefore, very simply, the team amassing the greatest points total come the end of the afternoon would be crowned champions. Goal difference would be used if points totals were the same.
By the end of five gruelling matches; against schools from Mansfield, Arnold and Gedling; Whitemoor waited patiently as 6th place, 5th place, 4th place and then 3rd place was announced. This left us and Richard Bonnington as the two schools who had yet to be called out... When Whitemoor's name was finally called out, it was as the 1st placed team!!!
A massive congratulations to all the boys involved. Claiming gold in the first ever, county schools wide, Y3/4 Futsal Tournament is a truly brilliant accomplishment.

Tournament Result - Year 5 This Girl Can Festival
Thu 31 Jan 2019This afternoon, twelve super enthusiastic Year 5 children got chance to take part in the second of the series of 'This Girl Can' events.
Like with the other festivals, today's emphasis was on fun and enjoyment, and for the girls to just 'have a go' regardless of their shape, size or ability.
Both of Whitemoor's teams started the afternoon by engaging in a mass warm-up, followed by a rotation around different sports and activities - many of which the girls had never experienced before.
A massive well done to all the pupils who took part - they showed so much passion and enthusiasm, and never stopped smiling throughout the afternoon.
Our Y5 'This Girl Can' team consisted of: Courtney B, Mia M, Benan E, Jenan E, Samya F, Sienna H, Doha A, Sheya M, Fallon T, Shay A, Laiba A and Tia Y.

Tournament Result - Y4/5 Dodgeball Festival
Thu 24 Jan 2019Today's Dodgeball Tournament took on a different form than in previous years - with a 'festival' format adopted, and therefore no scores were recorded and no medals were competed for.
What did remain the same as last year was Years 4 and 5 were the focus cohorts, and there were no qualifying rounds. What's more, the same high intensity, action packed games of dodgeball were played by all the schools involved.
Over the course of the afternoon, Whitemoor ducked, dived and dodged their way to victory against many of their opponents - with the odd loss or draw here and there.
Well done to all our boys and girls (including some from Y4) for their efforts in today's event. They played all their games in great spirits, regardless of what the result was.
Today's Y4/5 Dodgeball team was made up of: Lewis C, Tyrai W, Harley J, Reuben K, Zak P, Samuel W, Alyssia N, Bhakti G, Fizzah A, Nida K and Minky D.

Tournament Result - Y5/6 Handball
Thu 17 Jan 2019After achieving a medal at both the 2017 and 2018 version of the Y5/6 Handball Tournament, the pressure was on this year's team to try and keep this winning run going...
Thankfully, Whitemoor's players were more than up to the challenge which they faced at Harvey Hadden. Throughout the course of the afternoon, they played superbly well against all the schools involved - as part of a round robin format employed by the organisers.
Given that this was the format used, the school who won the most matches would obviously be crowned the champions. As Whitemoor won every single game they played, they came away with the gold medal!
Well done to all the boys and girls who took part - you played incredibly well, in what was a very tough event.
Our Y5/6 Handball team consisted of: Christine S, Shruti A, Vina R, Aliny T, Inez W, Mariah-Lace A, Travae R, Finnley G, Natijah L, Arnav N, Shalom-Chris O, Tyrai W and Alessandro C.

Competition Result - Y5/6 Cross Country Championship
Wed 16 Jan 2019Earlier on, a mix of boys and girls from Year 5 and 6 took part in the annual Cross County Championships, held in the grounds of Wollaton Park.
This event is one of the most physically demanding competitions primary-aged pupils take part in - with real endurance and determination needed to run the full course… Today’s cold and wet weather really didn’t help with this!
Well done to all those involved though, as the conditions never seemed to bother them, with all 14 of our athletes recording impressive times. Great effort Team Whitemoor!
A special mention goes to Tyrai, who came 19th in the boys’ race and Kuleni, who came 21st in the girls’ race. Even more impressively - both Tyrai and Kuleni were a year younger than nearly all other competitors.
Our Y5/6 Cross Country Championship team was made up of: Shalom-Chris O, Tyler C, Tyrai E, Alessandro C, Hayder I, Travae R, Kuleni S, Ticianny M, Alyssia N, Glenisha B, Inez W, Mariah-Lace A, Jaylah C and Vina R.
