Online Safety

At Whitemoor we understand the importance of teaching online safety, so ensure that all pupils have opportunity to learn about the appropriate use of various web-based systems and applications.

We teach online-safety within Computing lessons, PSHE Education lessons and during 'Internet Safety Day' - which takes place in February every year.

What's more, pupils are frequently reminded to follow the 'SMART Rules' for online safety. The 'SMART Rules' posters for children and parents/carers can be found below. It's important that you remind your child/children to use the 'SMART Rules' as well. We know that the internet is a great resource to call upon; however, children need to be aware of its potential risks.

Help is always available if your child is having any problems online whilst at home. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with a member of staff if this is the case. Also, attached below is a PowerPoint containing information, help and advice about how to stay safe online.

If you or anyone you know is worried about anything related to internet safety - please click on the relevant link below. Alternatively, you can click on the CEOP button, found in the top right hand corner of the website, which will take you to their main reporting website.
