This afternoon marked the first School Sport Nottingham competition of the 2023-24 academic year. It also marked the first-ever 'Team Relay Challenge' format for a cross country event. 

 

Our girls' team, followed by our boys' team, had to run as many laps of the course as possible in 30 minutes. During their time at Harvey Hadden Athletics Centre, both of Whitemoor's teams ran a very impressive 17 laps. 

 

When results were announced at the end, we discovered our male runners finished only 2 laps short of a medal and our female runners only 1 lap short. What incredible determination shown by all. 

 

Today's Y5/6 Cross Country team consisted of: Brax B, Mason B, Jayden B, Maleik P, Mya C, Hollie-Rose H, Ellicia B and Minae L.
