On Tuesday morning, our Y3/4 Athletics team took part in the Sportshall heats. The competition was organised by School Sports Nottingham and was officiated by a team of young sports leaders from Ellis Guilford. 

 

The team really enjoyed their time at Ellis, running 6 different races – including both individual and relay. We also took part in field events, such as the standing long jump and a foam javelin throw – the favourite for most of our young athletes.

 

We finished in 2nd position out of the 8 schools who took part and, as a result of this, will be attending the semi-finals next month!
