Yesterday afternoon, our Y5/6 Cross Country team ventured over to Colwick Country Park to take part in boys and girls relay races.

 

The weather conditions made it a perfect day for a run, which consisted of completing several laps of Colwick Lake. It's fair to say, this competition is one of the most gruelling on the primary sporting calendar, as it requires each athlete to run over 1300m.

 

Although we did not place in the medal positions this time around (finishing in sixth place overall), the team showed true resilience and determination to complete such a physically demanding event. Well done to all those who took part!
