Tournament Result – Monday 19th June – Y5 Kwick Cricket

Yesterday, on a gloriously sunny afternoon, we traveled over to the Cricket Pavilion in West Bridgford, to compete in the Y5 Cricket Tournament.

Our team played against some tough and well drilled opposition – with our first two games finishing in loses to Scotholme and Nottingham Academy. Thankfully, our final result was a convincing win against Southwark.

By the end of the group stages, it looked likely that Whitemoor wouldn't advance to the playoffs…. However, following our children's insistence that we stop till the very end of the tournament, it was announced four schools had left and so qualified for the 3rd/4th match.

Here we played (once again!) against our fellow SHINE school, Scotholme primary. Our players did not let any earlier losses play on their minds as they came away with the win and therefore the bronze medal. Well done boys!

The Y5 Kwick Cricket team was made up of: Jahkai C, Carnell T, Aiden L, Mason T, Muhammad S, Ramadan R, Biraj A and Brian D.
