Hello Year 6,
We hope you are all coping well in these unpredictable times. Even though you are not all in school at the moment, we are still here to help you and make sure that you receive the best possible education! On this page, you will find your home learning activities. Work will be uploaded to this page daily and it will also be uploaded to Class Dojo, so please make sure you are completing the work and sending it in to the teacher responsible for home learning that week. Thank you all for your hard work and we hope it will not be too long until you are all back in our classrooms.

Every Friday, we will complete a reading comprehension. As our class book (Journey to Jo’burg) is set during the rule of apartheid in South Africa, I have decided to select a reading comprehension about the life of Nelson Mandela. Click on the link below which will take your to a drawing tutorial Youtube channel. Once you are on there, select a video and have a go at completing the drawing.
You can challenge yourself to a sketch or choose a simpler drawing – it is up to you! Also, be imaginative with your colour, you could use pencil, pens, felt tips, paint, water colour or you could make a collage – the choice is yours.
