Earlier today, some lucky Y5/6 pupils got to take part in the first School Sport Nottingham event of this academic year. This event was the 'Team Relay Challenge.'

 

Our girls' team, then our boys' team, had 30 minutes to run as many laps as possible around the track at Harvey Hadden Stadium. Despite one runner getting an early injury, the girls' team amassed 15 laps. The boys' teams bettered this, achieving 16 laps in just under half an hour. 

 

Teams had the added challenge of trying to beat their own school record, which was set at last year's event. Unfortunately, our male runners finished 1 lap short of this record and our female runners finished 2 laps short. Despite this dissapointing news, both teams should be proud of the effort and determination they displayed over the course of the afternoon. 

 

Today's Y5/6 Cross Country team consisted of: Farhan S, Adriel E, Tyler N, Sai S, Mya C, Minae L, Elva C and Sienna B.
