Earlier today, some lucky Y5/6 pupils got to take part in the first School Sport Nottingham event of the new academic year. This event was the second-ever 'Team Relay Challenge.'

 

Our girls' team, then our boys' team, had 30 minutes to run as many laps as possible around the track at Harvey Hadden Stadium. Despite one of runners getting an early injury, the girls's team amassed 15 laps. The boys' teams bettered this score, with a total of 16 laps. 

 

Unfortunately, these scores were not high enough for us to earn any medals. What's more, we found out our male runners finished 1 lap short of our total from last year and our female runners finished 2 laps short. Despite this news, both teams should be very proud of the effort and determination they displayed over the course of the afternoon. 

 

Today's Y5/6 Cross Country team consisted of: Farhan S, Adriel E, Tyler N, Sai S, Mya C, Minae L, Elva C and Sienna B.
