Mrs Whelband helps with the organisation of our school council.
In early September, we hold elections for a Head Boy and Head Girl/Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl. These Year 6 children are voted in by the whole school, following two rounds of campaign speeches. As well as this, we run an application process for 'Class Reps' from Years 1 to 5. Together, the two groups form the Whitemoor School Council.

Every two weeks, the Whitemoor School Council meet to discuss current events and issues, and suggest ways to make the school an even better place to be.
Mr Sills helps with the organisation of our Sports Ambassadors.
These young leaders, who are all from Year 5, are appointed to their role based on the quality of the application letters they write. In November, the group attend a training event run by School Sport Nottingham, during which time they are set a series of challenges to complete over the remainder of the academic year.

These multilingual leaders, who are all from Year 6, are appointed to their role based on the effort and application in Spanish lessons.
