Tournament Result – Thursday 6th July – Y3/4 Urban Hockey

Last Thursday, we traveled over to the Lee Westwood Sports Centre to compete in the penultimate School Sport Nottingham tournament of the year: Y3/4 Urban Hockey.

The Whitemoor players started the tournament extremely well, playing with skill and determination, and consequently won three of their four group games. Due to the fact that only five schools turned up on the day, it meant we qualified for the finals without having to play a single knock-out game.

Blue Bell Hill were our opponent in the final, and it was clear from the outset they had been practising for many, many months. After a closely fought first third, BBH went on to take an unassailable lead…

By the end of the final third, Whitemoor had closed the gap, but not by enough points to outscore our opponent. However, our players should be immensely proud of reaching the final, and for achieving the silver medal.

The Y3/4 Urban Hockey team consisted of: Tyler C, Travae R, Kyan N, Natijah L, Farrah M, Inez W, Mariah A, Hugo K and Shalom-Chris O.
