This afternoon, a group of very eager Year 5 children got chance to compete in another of School Sport Nottingham's 'Mega Fests,' held once again at Harvey Hadden Sports Village. 

 

The festival's emphasis was on fun and enjoyment, and for our pupils to 'have a go' regardless of their shape, size or ability. 

 

Whitemoor's boys and girls  started the afternoon by taking part in a mass warm-up, followed by a rotation around different sports and activities, including: handball, urban hockey, new age curling and relay races. 

 

Not only did the 'Mega Fest' act as a great opportunity to engage more of our pupils in inter-school competition; it also helped them develop a love of physical activity and sport.

 

Our Y5 Mega Festival team consisted of: Mattie C, Sandeep S, Sufyan Z, Elizabeth L and Magda G.
