Last Friday, seven members of our Netball squad competed in a revised version of School Sport Nottingham's 'High 5' tournament.

 

Unlike in previous years, there were no heats to battle through; instead there were two separate finals, with only the first place team from each going through to the county version of this tournament. 

 

Over the course of the afternoon's event, hosted by the Girls' High School,  Whitemoor played with skill, determination and flair. After some convincing wins, we made it through to the 1st and 2nd place play off…

 

Here we faced no other than – the Girls' High School. In what was a very tough match (not made any easier by some partisan referring!) Whitemoor recorded a narrow win, so took home the gold medal!!!

 

Both Miss Proud and Mrs Hall were incredibly proud of our players' achievement, especially given the fact it's the third year in a row a Whitemoor Netball team has won the tournament.

 

Our Y5/6 High 5'ers were: Aiden L, Mason T, Natijah L, Sophie H, Sahnairi P, Kamara J and Nevaya P.
